SEPARATE

(1) Air dan miɲak tampak tarpisah, namun sebahagian ada barcampur. (2) Kadaŋ lacur dan sayar tampak barcampur, namun siida ihia a dapet nipisah. (3) Lahin dah mambunuh deŋan mamatikan, maŋrampas deŋan maminta, dan maŋaɲjur deŋan maneral. (3) Suŋguh elah nipadah mamu taʔ ada pambenar sasa uraŋ kamu bunuh, rampas, dan teral. (4) Namun, mamatiken, maminta, dan maŋaɲjurken sasa uraŋ bukan dah lacur sempet nibuat atas alesan iaŋ bener. (5) Jaŋan kamu kaudek lacur dan sayar. (6) Mamatiken uraŋ gawat dalem kaada tardesak bukan leta lar. (7) Maŋhujuŋi hidup sasa uraŋ iaŋ maŋruŋguŋ deŋan kahendak ɲa dah apa galur ɲa bukan leta pun lar. (8) Itu dah dua alesan buat mamatikan sasa uraŋ. (9) Selahin ini, maka jaŋan kamu sebut itu mamatikan, salahin mambunuh.

(1) Water and oil appear to be separate, but some are mixed. (2) Sometimes sinful and rewarding deeds appear to be mixed, but they can actually be separated. (3) There is a difference between killing and terminate, robbing and asking, and encouraging and forcing. (3) Ye have been told that there is no justification for killing, robbing, or forcing anyone. (4) However, terminating, asking, and encouraging someone is not a sin if it is done for a just reason. (5) Do not ye mix sinful and rewarding deeds. (6) Terminating a person who is dangerous in a desperate situation is not a criminal sin. (7) Ending the life of a suffering person by hirs own will or that of hirs family is also not a criminal sin. (8) These are two reasons for terminating someone. (9) Apart from this, do not call it terminating, except killing.

(10) Sempet kamu rapay pihak iaŋ bartampuk, baulih dah kamu maŋhatur uraŋ lahin. (11) Namun, jaŋan dah kamu maŋhatur uraŋ salebay, lantar Hiyan pun taʔ ada maŋhatur mu salebay. (12) Lantar, haturan lebay sesuŋguh a mandeketi paneralan dan itu salasa leta dasar di kamu.

(10) If ye are in power, ye may control other people. (11) However, do not ye control people excessively, because God does not control ye excessively either. (12) Because excessive rules are actually close to coercion and that is one of the basic criminal sins for you.

(13) Kamu baulih mamparulih anu mai uraŋ lahin, ai lem apa luar saih. (14) Namun, ‘minta dah anu ka sasa uraŋ tu sab’baik. (15) Jaŋan kamu bentak apa aɲcem uraŋ iaŋ kamu pinta, suŋguh itu mandekati paŋrampasan iaŋ dah leta dasar di kamu sahambih. (16) Jaŋan pernah kamu maŋhampiri leta dasar, apa lagi sampay mambuat ɲa, barsisih!

(13) Ye may obtain something from others, both inside and outside your career. (14) However, ask someone for something in a good way. (15) Do not ye shout at or threaten the person ye are asking for, because that is close to robbery, which is a basic criminal sin for all of you. (16) Never come close to basic criminal sins, let alone commit them, God forbid.
