THE FOREBEAR/THE GOD
(1) Matan daʔ, tentu ada, lantar siida mimaŋ dah ɲata. (2) Siida iaŋ buat dikau ada. (3) Eŋkau taranak lantar siida. (4) Siidaŋ ada, n'ak 'kau iŋet n'ak 'kau lupa. (5) Itu dah saŋ Hiyaŋ. (6) Iaŋ deket dikau malem siaŋ. (7) Iaŋ turut ka ia eŋkau sembahyaŋ. (8) Iaŋ salalu ‘mberi kau kahasih sayaŋ. (9) Minta dah: "Hiyaŋ, hendak dah aku ni, tarmasuk siidaŋ tenti, siidaŋ salalu rendah hati, taʔ p’parnah tiŋgi hati, hiŋga lupa sabener diri."
(1) It is impossible that they do not exist, because they are real. (2) Those who made thee exist. (3) Thou wert born because of them. (5) Those who exist, whether thou rememberst or forgetst. (5) That is the Forebear (The God). (6) The one who is near thee in the night and day. (7) The one who is appropriate for thee to worship. (8) Who always gives thee love and affection. (9) Ask: "God, may I be among those who are trustful, those who are always humble, never at all high-minded, to the point of forgetting the true self."
