What is Hyang (The Forebear)?

Hyang is a representation of all that exists. Exist means either that exists in the universe (energy, matter, and/or whatever is in the universe), outside the universe (if it is proven to exist), before the universe, after the universe, and/or whatever is proven/hypothesized to exist.

Because Hyang is the representation of the whole that exists, then Hyang is the creator of everything, from Herm all comes, and from Herm all returns. Sanyayang believes in science and submits all truths related to nature and society to science. For example, we humans come from our parents, our parents come from their parents, and so on. If we keep going backward, then we find that there has been evolution in living things. In Sanyayang, evolution is Hyang's way of creating living things, including humans. Living things themselves came from inanimate matter which itself under the right conditions began to form the molecules that make up life. Even though the event happened by itself, all of that could happen because of the existence of matter and energy that existed before which were part and representation of their forebear (Hyang). So, everything comes from their Hyang (something that existed before). In fact, we can assume that before the big bang that formed the universe, maybe there was something that existed or even though before the universe existed there was nothing but nothing, still nothing existed before the universe existed and we can say the nothingness is Hyang of (which existed before) the universe existed.

It has been explained by Hyang in Jeluray that only with science can the truth about natural and social phenomena be obtained. Therefore, in Jeluray there is no explanation of natural and social phenomena. In Jeluray, Hyang only teaches morals to humans. All natural and social explanations must be obtained through science (problem identification, experimentation, scientific method, observation, and so on).

Religions that try to explain natural and social phenomena in their scriptures are biased. Sanyayang views this as just the opinion or personal opinion of the Diviner/Prophet who brought these teachings. The Diviner and Prophets were not free from mistakes and they could have included their personal opinions in the scriptures that were revealed to them. In the Sanyayang religion, the scriptures should only teach about the concept of divinity and good morals.

So, we can conclude that Hyang is something that existed "before" something else existed. So, everything is created/originated from Hyang. Everything will also return to Hyang, meaning that something will become the Hyang (the Forebear) of something else that will exist in the future.

One has to worship (respect) Hyang because it is from Herm Hyang that e comes from. Hirs Hyang includes hirs parents (parents, grandparents, and so on) as well as the universe itself (according to most scientists the universe came from nothing, which means that's all that existed before the universe). Someone who doesn't want to worship Hyang means that person doesn't admit that e comes from what existed before herm. Of course that is 100% wrong, because anything that exists, including humans, must have come from something that existed before. Nothing comes into existence suddenly. Everything comes from what existed before through a process, whether it's evolution, weathering, sedimentation, and so on.

So, it is appropriate for us to worship Hyang, something that makes us where we are today,
